Meet the new Firezone logo

You may have noticed something has changed around here recently.

We have a new logo.

The new Firezone logo

Why change it?

Our previous logo, introduced in this fateful commit from 2021 (by yours truly no less!), has served us well for the past five years. It was originally conceived as a hybrid between a phoenix - a nod to the honorable web framework that powers Firezone - and a flame, which I thought fitting given the company name.

However, it doesn't display well at small sizes (RIP favicon), and to be honest, was always a bit more complex than we wanted it to be.

As Firezone grew, the gap between that logo and the product we are building became more obvious. Firezone makes secure access fast and simple. Our identity should feel the same way.

Simple and fast

The new mark is more focused, with a sense of motion that reflects the speed of the product. We kept our signature orange so it still feels unmistakably Firezone.

The new Firezone logo and wordmark

More broadly, the new identity better reflects our mission to secure the world's information and restore global trust in internet-connected systems.

We have also launched a new Firezone brand kit with official wordmarks, standalone marks, light and dark versions, our core color palette, and sensible-use guidance. Every logo is available as an SVG so it stays crisp at any size.

For press questions, permissions, or anything that is not covered in the brand kit, email media@firezone.dev.
